Israel attacks towns, sets homes ablaze in southern Lebanon
Homes in Haddatha, located in the Bint Jbeil district, were set ablaze beginning Wednesday morning. The reports did not provide details on how many properties were affected or the full extent of the damage.
Artillery fire also struck Baraachit in the Bint Jbeil district, along with Mansouri and Wadi Zibqin in the Tyre district. No casualties were immediately reported in these areas.
In the Hasbaya district, an Israeli drone dropped stun grenades near farmers harvesting olives around Halta farm, close to the outskirts of Kfar Shuba. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Israeli drones were also observed flying at low altitudes over Beirut, its southern suburbs and the Zahrani area in southern Lebanon. Additional heavy drone activity was reported over Iqlim al-Kharrub in the Chouf district of Mount Lebanon.
The latest incidents come as Israeli forces continue operations involving attacks, demolitions and the burning of homes in southern Lebanon, despite a framework agreement signed in June 2026 that предусматриes a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
Military operations have continued despite the agreement. Lebanese authorities say Israeli attacks since March 2 have killed nearly 4,400 people and injured more than 12,400 others, while displacing over one million people.
Israel maintains control over several areas in southern Lebanon, including territories it has occupied for decades and others seized during the 2023-2024 war. During the latest conflict, Israeli forces advanced approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles) into Lebanese territory.
