Fatal Shooting Claims Two Lives in Germany Near Frankfurt Airport

(MENAFN) Two people were shot dead early Tuesday at a bistro in Raunheim, near Frankfurt Airport in Germany, as stated by reports.

Preliminary findings indicate that an armed individual entered the venue at around 3:45 a.m. local time (0245 GMT) and opened fire on the victims, who died at the scene from their injuries.

The suspect fled immediately after the attack and remains at large, while authorities have not yet established a clear motive for the shooting. German police have launched a large-scale manhunt, deploying officers in the surrounding area and reviewing surveillance footage in an effort to track down the assailant.

The incident has raised concerns about public safety near the airport and sparked heightened security measures in Raunheim and nearby towns, according to reports.
