Iran Warns About U.S. Meddling in Region

(MENAFN) Iran’s top national security official cautioned on Friday that any involvement by the United States in Iran’s internal affairs would not only unsettle the Middle East but also severely damage Washington’s own strategic interests.

Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, issued the warning in an English-language post on the U.S.-based social media platform X, responding to recent comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Larijani argued that statements from Trump and Israeli officials have exposed what he described as covert actions taking place behind the scenes.

He emphasized that Iranian authorities differentiate between lawful economic protests by shopkeepers and what he called the activities of destabilizing elements.

Larijani stressed that foreign involvement in what Iran considers a domestic issue would lead to widespread regional instability and serious consequences for the United States itself.

Larijani also addressed the American public directly, stating that Trump had initiated what he labeled a reckless course of action.

He urged Americans to consider the safety of their military personnel, warning that such policies could place U.S. soldiers at risk.
